We opened our online store in 2009 with the guiding principle that customers want products of exceptional quality and value, with a great story. That's why our first-ever item was the Lobster Rope Doormat - and we were the first to sell a product of this kind online.
The Associated Press wrote about The Lobster Rope Doormat in April 2009. When people turned to their computers to search for this innovative product, The New England Trading Company was the only place they could be purchased.
In 2012 our Lobster Rope Doormats were featured in a live segment on NBC's Today and later that year we were a winner of StartUp Nation's Moms in Business competition.
To this day, our Original Lobster Rope Doormats are the best outdoor mat in the world (in our humble opinion)
