We launched in 2009 with a simple mission: deliver exceptional quality, value, and service - plus a great story.

That’s why created the Lobster Rope™ brand for our distinctive collection of Maine-made doormats and baskets, handcrafted using the type of rugged marine-grade rope inspired by Maine's working waterfront.

The Associated Press covered it the same weekend we got married (a double blessing!).

On April 18, 2012, the Lobster Rope™ Doormat was featured live on NBC’s Today show.

We were named a winner of StartUp Nation’s Moms in Business competition.

Years later, our Wicked Good Lobster Rope Doormats are still the best outdoor mats in the world (if we do say so ourselves). Thank you for being part of our journey!

Since 2009 we've had the pleasure of helping customers find the perfect coastal-inspired gift or accessory. We love to commune with those who share our love of all things nautical.

Our office and retail store is located 953 Post Road in Wells, Maine and we have a warehouse in Washington, Maine.

The Lobster Rope™ Brand

We opened our online store in 2009 with the guiding principle that customers want products of exceptional quality and value, with a great story. That's why our first-ever item was the Lobster Rope™ Doormat - and we were the first to sell a product of this kind online.

In 2012 our Lobster Rope Doormats were featured in a live segment on NBC's Today and later that year we were a winner of StartUp Nation's Moms in Business competition.

Since then you can see us regularly in media such as CBS Maine Makers, HGTV Magazine, and more.

To this day, our Lobster Rope Doormats are the best outdoor mat in the world (in our humble opinion.) Be wary of imitations: there is only one Lobster Rope™ brand doormat, and it is made by Wicked Good Doormats® - owned by our parent company, Mayo and Marsh, LLC.
